Seems like you're passing it a float. And in the error message you provide (full message next time please!) it appears that matplotlib is simply delegating the conversion to datetime.datetime.fromordinal.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
